In college I had a favorite yin yang t shirt. I wore it to the disco and danced to Sting, Cindy Lauper, and all the other 80s music that, well, now you know how old I am…Anyway, it was great to experiment with grainy black clay. It doesn’t respond the way the other clays I’ve used do, and it has a heft and solidity I love, especially with fluid glazes and bits of bare black.
