About The Artist

For many years I have published novels (www.gwendolengross.com) and taught writing workshops, while my primary hobbies were knitting, sewing, and riding and caring for horses. After one accident too many,  I put away my boots and took a pottery class. The narrative and physical possibilities of clay have become my obsession—and healed the horse-sized hole. I make sculptures and functional pottery, all inspired by story and the natural world. The potters I’ve met already are amazing people, and I’m glad to meet you, too.
