I love the shape of a butternut squash, and after the folks on the Great Pottery Throwdown made vases like these, I had to try. I made many, but only a few made it to the very special raku day with Peter Syak. The colors are all about how the fire is snuffed out, about containment and without. Small, perfect for dried flowers or just beautifying your shelf, this little vase required a lot of effort, and it was all delight.
