Turtle Shell Ceramic Plate - Large Dinner Plate - Handmade Pottery

Once on a hike my friend spotted an odalisque deer posing in the cattails. When we went on, dazzled, we almost stepped on a giant snapping turtle. Wheel thrown plate using engobes and multiple glazes to mimic a turtle shell. The plate has a very slight rim and a second set of ridges inside. 

At 8¼ inches, this makes a perfect dinner plate or statement serving piece. You could also use it to welcome friends to your beach house by putting it on a stand in the entry way. Am I invited to your beach house, too?
